There is a lot being said these days about power and passion. People are wondering just how to get it in their lives. It is touted as something we should all have and I agree with that. Life is too short to miss out on living your power and passion. It is exciting, it feeds your soul and it makes life so worth living. But what is it and how do you get it? Power and passion come from doing what you were wired to do in the way you were wired to do it. We each have different gifts and discovering yours and using them leads to living your power and passion. How do you know when you have found it?
Besides feeling great about what you are doing what are the signs you have found it?
1. You will feel you are in a state of flow when you are using your power and passion. What is flow? It is a feeling you get when you are doing what you love and doing it well. You loose track of time, temperature, etc. It feels like you are one with what you are doing. You know you are happy. In short it is like having a mountain top experience. Think back through your life and note the times you felt like that. What were you doing and how were you doing it?
2. You will be using certain skills and abilities that are always present when you are in this state of flow. You use them in specific ways that are unique to you and you really enjoy using them to accomplish what you are attempting to do.
3. You are interacting with others in certain ways that empower you to do you very best. It may even be that you are a individualist or key contributor and do not work closely with others when you are using your power and passion. Every one of us is different in this aspect.
4. There are certain circumstances that are always present when you feel you are in a state of flow. These circumstances support who you are and what you are doing. They allow you to do what you do in the way only you do it.
5. You are working with specific subject matter that is unique to you. When you are in this state this type of subject matter is always present and you love working with it.
6. You are doing what is most satisfying to you, what you are motivated to do from your very core. When you go back and look at your achievements you will see that this motivation is present in everyone of them.
Those six items are always present when you have found your power and passion. The more situations in life where you can find a way to used them all at once the more you will be acting out your power and passion.
