The position: Director of corporate communications for Facebook
Location: Palo Alto, Calif.
Job duties: Will support the company's global monetization efforts and programs. Develops and executes strategies for global public relations programs related to monetization programs, especially direct and online advertising. Educates users, press, bloggers, analysts and other influencers about Facebook monetization products and initiatives both in the U.S. and internationally. Will be expected to help drive positive coverage in business and advertising trade media. Organizes press briefings, media sessions and other publicity events. Will manage executive spokespeople and prepare briefing materials.

Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree at a minimum, with graduate degree preferred. Must have at least six years professional experience, with a combination of agency and in-house preferred. Applicants must have previous background in Internet, technology and/or advertising PR. Requires a deep knowledge of online advertising concepts and technology, along with knowledge of search marketing and interactive advertising. Must have experience working with bloggers and trade media. Also requires a deep understanding and passion for Facebook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as are strong project management and decision-making abilities. Must know AP style guidelines and have excellent grammar skills.
